Privacy Policy

RIFT CABLE is a free, curated TV service for AI-made films and series, run by Revision Studios. This policy covers the RIFT CABLE Fire TV app, the website at riftcable.com (including the phone version and the home-screen app), and the RIFT CABLE Studio portal for creators.

The short version: viewers don't have accounts, and we don't collect viewers' personal information. We only count anonymous totals, such as how many times a channel was watched.

What viewers' devices keep

Your saved shows (My List), thumbs up and down, the last channel you watched and where you stopped in a show are stored only on your own device, in the app's or browser's local storage. They are never sent to us. Clearing the app's data or your browser's site data deletes them.

Anonymous viewing totals

To learn which channels and shows people enjoy, the app and website send us anonymous totals:

• how many times each channel and video was tuned to, per day;
• how long it played;
• how many thumbs up and thumbs down each show or movie received.

These totals contain no name, email, account, device ID, advertising ID or location, and nothing that identifies you or your device. We use them to choose content, to show creators how their work is doing and to show potential sponsors overall audience numbers.

YouTube videos

Most videos on RIFT CABLE are YouTube videos played through YouTube's official embedded player. When one plays, your device connects to YouTube, and YouTube may collect information under its own policies. See the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. Any ads shown during a YouTube video are YouTube's, not ours.

Other services the app uses

• Supabase stores the channel lineup and the anonymous totals described above.
• Cloudflare hosts riftcable.com and may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.
• Google Fonts supplies the lettering in the app; your device downloads the fonts from Google.

We don't sell information, we don't use advertising trackers, and we don't share information with advertisers.

Creators (RIFT CABLE Studio)

If you apply as a creator or submit work through RIFT CABLE Studio, we collect what you give us: your name or display name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form by Supabase), links to your work, your application answers and the videos or links you submit. We use this to review your application, run your account, put your work on air and contact you about it. Your public creator name and a link to your channel are shown with your videos.

You can ask us to delete your creator account and information at any time by emailing us.

Children

RIFT CABLE is not directed at children under 13, and some channels carry content for teens and adults, including adult animation, horror and dark fantasy. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

• Clear the app's data or your browser's site data to remove everything stored on your device.
• Email us to ask about, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you as a creator.
• Creators can ask us to take down a video at any time.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If we ever start collecting more than described here, such as viewer accounts or ads on our own hosted films, we'll update this page before we do.
